Today you can find out the terms of any affiliate program in five minutes on Telegram. Rates, caps and GEOs are public, and you can message a manager directly. And yet teams, advertisers and affiliate managers keep flying to conferences, and brands spend $100,000–200,000 on a single event. Godlike Partners, the Olymp Casino affiliate program, goes to events too, just without massive booths. We put that budget into payouts to affiliates. In this piece we break down what a trade show presence costs, what the trip gives a team and an advertiser, and why a face-to-face meeting still settles more than a chat thread.

Two people shared their experience. Alexandra, TeamLead of Affiliate at Godlike Partners, explains how an affiliate manager lands contacts at a show. Alexander Flint, owner of Flint Group, looks at conferences from the partner’s side.

The exclusives are gone, but the trip is still worth it

A couple of years ago you came back from an event with a private offer, a special rate or inside info on traffic. Today affiliate program terms are public, and you can reach the manager of any program directly on social media. You’d think offline would have died out. The opposite happened.

When information is available to everyone, what’s scarce is trust in a specific person. Trade shows have gone from noisy parties to a B2B venue. People go there for fast decisions and partnerships that last for years.

Alexander Flint: “In two days you close what would drag on for months online”

Alexander owns Flint Group and runs the Telegram channel SEO Flint & Google and a YouTube channel about SEO and affiliate marketing. We asked him what events look like from a partner’s point of view.

How are today’s trips different from the ones a few years ago?

People used to fly in for something unique. An exclusive advertiser, a special offer, a private rate, fresh inside info on traffic. The market was closed, and a lot could really only be agreed in person.

Now offers, terms and tools are all out in the open. So teams go for relationships, brand and scale. It matters to show the market that you’re alive, growing and fit for long-term work.

So what’s the main benefit of a conference?

Networking and speed. At a show you get through dozens of meetings in a couple of days that would take months over chat. Add visibility on top. A recognizable team finds it easier to hire, open new GEOs and run joint projects with partners. Plenty of people still decide whether to start working with a partner based on how they come across in person.

Is a dispute with an advertiser over a payout cut for traffic quality easier to settle in person?

Yes, and the difference is huge. Over chat, a manager can go weeks without replying. At a conference you walk up in person, and things start moving. Traffic quality disputes usually grow out of mutual misunderstanding, and in a live conversation they get cleared up in about 10 minutes.

Is it worth listening to the talks?

It all depends on who’s on stage. A half-hour self-promo or a rehash of the obvious is a waste of time. The value comes from practitioners who bring numbers, break down their own screw-ups and show working setups. That’s the principle we built the SIC conference on. The stage goes to people who get results themselves and show what they make money on.

SiGMA and Affiliate World, or closed local meetups?

It depends on what the team needs. Big shows give you a wide network, visibility, and access to new markets and people. In a few days you see a cross-section of the whole industry. If a team needs a couple of specific deals or introductions, a local meetup works better. There are fewer random people, the conversation is more to the point, and terms are easier to discuss.

Do giveaways and shows at the booth attract strong teams?

Only as the first hook. Giving away a car or the latest console draws a crowd. But a crowd at the stand doesn’t mean targeted leads. The booth is there to turn a visitor’s interest into a contact, a booked meeting or a deal.

How much a booth at an iGaming conference costs in 2026

Flint mentioned booth shows. Let’s look at what the space itself costs, before prizes and the show program. Below are organizers’ prices and public estimates for major events and one CIS conference.

WhereFormatPrice
SiGMA, Dubai15 m², rental and buildabout $25,000
SBC, Portugal90 m² space76,650 euros
Dubaimini booth, build only3,000–5,000 euros
ICE Barcelona 2026Pragmatic Play booth5 million euros
G GATE CONF 2026, Tbilisitest booth 1.5×1.5 m$4,000
G GATE CONF 2026, Tbilisimid-size booth 3×4 m$19,000
G GATE CONF 2026, Tbilisipremium 6×4 m with a large build$33,500

For scale. Fifteen square meters at SiGMA is roughly the bedroom of a small one-bedroom apartment, and that’s the mid-range option. Ninety square meters at SBC costs as much as a whole apartment, and it’s used for two days. The price of a mini booth in Dubai swings depending on how complex the structure and its fit-out are. The G GATE CONF figures are without complex customization.

The full trip budget

The booth is only part of the cost. According to expert estimates, one conference costs an iGaming brand with a team of 10–15 people $100,000–200,000. That covers the spot, the build, travel expenses and staff uniforms.

On top of that come items not included in the estimate. Merch, sponsorship of award categories or badges, and fees for ambassadors such as UFC fighters. Which raises a question we asked ourselves. What’s more useful to an affiliate, a giveaway at an expensive stand or the chance to earn that money on their own traffic?

Olymp Casino affiliate program: the booth budget goes into rates

For a new brand, a huge booth with a show program makes perfect sense. It brings initial recognition, a loud market entry and a wow effect that pulls in the first contacts. Once a brand is established and has a pool of loyal partners around it, hunting for affiliates in the aisles stops making sense. Core business processes come to the fore.

Godlike Partners, also known as the Olymp affiliate program, deliberately works without massive exhibition builds. The decision comes from how we measure return on investment and has nothing to do with cutting costs. Money spent on booths and shows in B2B rarely pays back directly and adds nothing to a media buyer’s profit.

So the budget the market is used to spending on image goes into our partner payout fund. That’s exactly why rates in key GEOs are noticeably above average.

  • Azerbaijan. Payouts start at $70.
  • Turkey. The rate is $60–120.
  • India. Payouts start at $15.

On top of the rates come competitive terms for teams, individual caps and a product that converts well. People come to iGaming to make money. A professional media buyer scales the offer with the best ROI, and the size of the advertiser’s booth at the last show has no bearing on that choice.

Alexandra, Godlike Partners: how a trade show turns into contacts

Brands compete with booths, affiliate managers compete on the quality of their connections. Alexandra, TeamLead of Affiliate at Godlike Partners, explained why cold outreach yields less and less and how live communication at events brings in money.

Why go at all if contacts and offers are online?

For us a conference is still a growth point. That’s where we find new people, strengthen relationships with current partners and hear firsthand what’s going on in the market.

Many valuable contacts simply aren’t on the internet. Even if you find someone, a cold DM is no guarantee they’ll start working with you. Partners are more willing to work with people they know personally. A manager’s job is to become that person for them.

How has the format changed over the past couple of years?

Events have become noticeably more formal and results-driven. Parties have given way to working meetings and concrete agreements. That’s a good sign for the industry. The market is maturing, becoming more structured and serious.

How do you know if a trip paid off?

You can’t calculate instant payback right after a show. You can take a baseline snapshot, though, and we look at four metrics.

  • How many new contacts came out of the trip.
  • How many meetings took place with current partners.
  • What agreements and deals were closed.
  • How much media activity grew.

Then we track these numbers over time. That shows which connections from the show brought real profit later on.

What does a meeting settle that a Telegram chat won’t?

A meeting builds trust. In person you quickly understand who’s in front of you, how they make decisions and how best to set up processes with them. Strong partnerships that last for years most often grow out of that kind of live contact.

Which networking tactic works best?

Almost everyone is afraid to make the first move. At shows people stick to companies they know, so taking the initiative instantly becomes an advantage. The rules are simple. Be open and friendly, approach first, speak clearly and to the point, be tactful. The person in front of you is human too, and they’re probably nervous as well.

Has a conference acquaintance ever turned into work?

Once, in the crowd between booths, I liked a guy’s shirt and told him so. One thing led to another, and it turned out he worked on a big SEO team. I’d been trying to reach them for months with no luck. We’ve been working together ever since, for more than a year now.

The bottom line

Conferences remain a working tool. They speed up processes, build trust between a team and an advertiser and help quickly settle disputes over traffic quality and caps. An affiliate chooses a program based on product economics that keep running traffic profitable over the long haul. The wow effect of a trade show stand no longer affects that decision.
